Everyday Make Up

I've never been an avid make up wearer, but last summer when thinking about starting the capsule wardrobe I really thought about upping my whole face game, as until then I literally slapped on some eyeliner and mascara and off I went.

Now I'm not saying that I am a professional in the make up department now and that I go from ugly duckling to swan princess after my make up routine but I have seriously noticed what a difference adding to my make up makes to my appearance, once my new process is done I don't feel terrible just throwing a t shirt and jeans on because I actually still feel all put together just by looking at my make up.

My main problem was dark bags under my eyes, I felt they really left my face looking tired and just not very healthy and so first on the list with what I wanted was a concealer to try and hide the buggers! I'm still not sold on the whole wearing foundation ma-larky and so concealer works a treat for me, it's just enough to cover a lot of the darkness. Next was blusher and bronzer just to give my face that healthy looking glow and these two products were my sisters that she didn't want anymore so I happily took them and actually love what a different they can make! The final piece I put on my face is the topshop highlighter and my god I never thought I'd love a piece of make up but I love the glow it gives and I have had plenty of compliments on it when it's applied so I'm definitely doing something right with my face!

Now for the eye area, as I said I've always been a mascara and eyeliner kind of girl and while my eyeliner is in the picture, I must confess since being bought the Naked palette I haven't actually felt the need to apply it all the time, now I only apply it when going out or just when I fancy a change because the Naked palette has been such a game changer for me. I tend to use the bronze/gold shimmery section of the palette daily with colour 'sin' actually being my usual go to. It really does just brighten my eyes so much and brings out the colour, that with mascara, and not forgetting a simple nude lip or lip balm a then I am good to go and I actually thoroughly enjoy applying this everyday, who knew make up could be so great!

Have you got a daily routine?
